Issue: Hyper-V Storage not appearing in Host Configuration/Add Storage – Xendesktop 5.6
Added a New Host in the Hyper-V Cluster. We have Hyper-V 2.0 and Xendesktop 5.6
When you create a new Host Connection or Add Storage or Add Personal vDisk Storage, newly added hyper-v host doesn’t show up.
Solution: Make sure Sharing is enabled on C:\ClusterStorage folder on Hyper-V Server(s).
Also from C:\ClusterStorage –> Properties –> Sharing, Click on “Advanced Sharing” option and Click on
“Share This Folder”.
Click on Permissions Button and make sure you give Full access to the account which Manages both Xendesktop and Hyper-V.
Once you have provided permission from Advanced Sharing, go back to Xendesktop Studio, you can now add new Host Connection or Add Storage or Add Personal vDisk Storage and you will get the newly added Hyper-V host entry.
